Homework
This is your mission should you choose to accept it !!
Homework in 2011 will encompass a range of activities that will help promote student learning and prepare students for their forthcoming journey into high school. The various set tasks have been designed to consolidate student knowledge and extend their current skills and understandings in preparation of future lesson content. All students are expected to complete their homework tasks on a weekly basis and, with continual support from parents, we expect this to be a pivotal experience in their educational development. Students will have to complete a minimum of 3 tasks per week.
Premiers Reading Program – Students MUST read 4 novels by the end of term 4. We recommend that 20mins reading a night should be sufficient and, upon completion, students are to bring their book to school and give a brief summary of the story. This is to ensure that students are indeed reading the text.
Maths – Students are to complete assigned maths activities on a weekly basis. The Maths activities are to be completed in Maths Tracks Text Books and will mirror the lesson content delivered throughout the day. This homework is pivotal in consolidating the students understandings from the days Maths lesson and prepares them for following days content.
(Maths Tracks books are available for students upon payment of their school contributions)
